Departures from O’Hare International Airport
O’Hare International Airport has terminals 1,2,3 and 5. Terminals 1, 2, and 3 are domestic terminals, and Terminal 5 is the international terminals where international flights depart from. The upper level of Concourse B at Terminal 1 has a direct connection with the roadway and departures. Departures at Terminal 2 are located on the upper level. Departures at Terminal 3 can also be found on the upper level. The ticketing level at Terminal 5 served by ticket counters 5B to 5F is the Departures level.

Passengers who depart from O’Hare International Airport should go through Transportation Security Administration checkpoints. Before going through the security checkpoint ensure there are no prohibited items in the luggage; There are no liquids or aerosols allowed except those placed in one transparent quart-sized bag, that are limited to travel-size containers of 3,4 ounce or less. Those items must be removed from Carry-on for the X-ray screening. PreCheck passengers can keep them in their carry-on during the security check. Travelers can use the “When I fly I can bring my…” search tool on https://tsa.gov. This is the tool that helps passengers be sure what is allowed and prohibited both in carry-on and checked in luggage. Have a valid identification and boarding pass out before arriving at the travel document checker; Remove liquids and large electronics from carry-on baggage; Remove footwear. Outwear, big jewelry and empty all pockets while waiting in line.
TSA PreCheck
TSA PreCheck is the program from TSA that allows the traveler to wear shoes, jackets, and belts at the security checkpoint, and carry laptops and 3-1-1 liquids in carry-ons without removing them for screening. The TSA PreCheck program is available at the O’Hare International Airport. To enroll in the program proceed to Terminal 1 Baggage Claim Area near the door 1G. The PreCheck enrollment center is open from Monday to Friday 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM/12:00 PM – 4:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
